Cinnamon Sauce
This sauce comes together in minutes! Very beautiful cinnamon flavor and delicious on many different things.
- 1 1/2 cups Water
- 3 Tbsp. Butter If you're not using salted butter, add a pinch of salt to the sauce, as well.
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar, lightly packed
- 1 tsp. Cinnamon Make this a heaping teaspoon.
- 1 Tbsp. Cornstarch, mixed with 1 Tbsp. water
- 2 drops Cinnamon oil Or 2 tsp. Cinnamon extract
Bring water, butter, sugar and cinnamon to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
Mix the cornstarch with 1 Tbsp. water. Add a little hot cinnamon mixture to the cornstarch.
Add the cornstarch to the pan.
Continue simmering for another 4 to 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and add the cinnamon oil.
Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
