Cinnamon Sauce

This sauce comes together in minutes! Very beautiful cinnamon flavor and delicious on many different things.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Water
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter If you're not using salted butter, add a pinch of salt to the sauce, as well.
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon Make this a heaping teaspoon.
  • 1 Tbsp. Cornstarch, mixed with 1 Tbsp. water
  • 2 drops Cinnamon oil Or 2 tsp. Cinnamon extract

Instructions

  • Bring water, butter, sugar and cinnamon to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Mix the cornstarch with 1 Tbsp. water. Add a little hot cinnamon mixture to the cornstarch.
  • Add the cornstarch to the pan.
  • Continue simmering for another 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and add the cinnamon oil.
  • Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
